Our Junior team had much to celebrate when they pulled off a magnificent win against a very strong Harrogate Union side and even with 5 out of the 12 single matches going to the last hole with halved results the other results of 4 wins and 3 losses gave us the winning margin of a 19-17 success – the morning foursomes of 6 points apiece set the lads up for a step up chance to launch a great challenge in the single match ups and it was done in fine style with us winning 3 of the early pairings whilst 2 came in with halved matches and then

Harrogate came back into contention with 2 wins and 2 halved matches .

It was now nip and tuck but with  another half and another win gave us the winning margin to clinch a superb win agains a very good Harrogate side who could have won the League if they had won and another result had gone astray for the Teeside Union in their last match.

The Juniors this season have had a tremendous year in the Yorkshire Inter District Union matches and to win 3 league fixtures out 7 against very strong teams and even the losses were only just ones and now they have only lost one regular player who has reached the over age limit and so they are looking forward to next year after they have ended this season in fine  style
